Client Summary A Quebec-based international company with facilities in Canada, the US, Italy, and China, renowned for their design and manufacturing expertise as well as the high level of customization being offered in terms of automated packaging machinery. With new product offerings, the company has sustained double-digit growth and is seeking individuals that will contribute to the continued success of the organization. The position is based in the west island of Montreal, in a newly acquired state of the art facility. We are looking for an individual with a proven track record in leading the fabrication team and that can influence senior management. Position Summary The Senior Project Manager will be working with a highly specialized team of Project Managers focused on packaging solutions. S/he communicates and influences others and directly impacts the planning and execution of projects. The incumbent optimizes the collective performance and ensures on-time and quality criteria are met. Expectations also include creating solutions, initiating improvement projects, and following up on project progress reports and milestones. Also focuses on scoping, budgeting, clients account management and thorough documentation. Champions SCRUM and/or KANBAN processes to maximize efficiency. Have a macro view of the entire workflow and focus on productivity and optimization, recommends adjustments for material planning or product modifications for improved performance. Key responsibilities • Manage multiple development projects, motivating, and aligning personnel, while working closely with company stakeholders. • Provide insight on strategy and long-term vision. • Hands on responsibility for documenting, maintaining an outstanding interface and communication with the team, stakeholders, and our clients. • Provide proactive, timely and accurate support to the team in the form of preparing various documents, reports, track KPI’s etc. • Responsible for SR&ED government submissions. • Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and all other stakeholders to identify and prioritize critical project milestones and deliverables. • Responsible for ensuring the success and efficiency of the projects. Requirements • 7+ years of considerable leadership experience in project management, engineering/manufacturing environments. • Education requirement: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field. • Proficient in Agility. • A high energy, motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills, while being assertive in a team environment and results driven. • Able to influence across the organization, without direct authority. • Experience with ERP environment; we use Syspro. • Experience with project collaboration software; we use Wrike. • Strong communication and leadership skills to influence the team. • Resilient and self-motivated • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English as well as a willingness to routinely influence and align the environment.
