Summary of Position Cadre’s Transit division offers our clients technical rail service solutions including commissioning and testing of new transit vehicles, warranty repairs, preventative maintenance, and inspection services. We work with the leading Ontario transit suppliers and agencies, ensuring their equipment is available to provide reliable on time service to their passengers in some of North America’s largest transit systems. The OCS/Track Supervisor will be responsible to oversee the OCS/Track Technicians while they perform their daily activities Position Summary Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to: Ensure that all transportation and customer service activities are performed safely and promptly while providing a courteous service to clients in accordance with corporate policies, practices, government regulations, Canadian Rail Operating Rules and special instructions; Act as point of contact for work initiatives, track information, and overall work activity for daily tasks; Monitor projects and supervise the day-to-day operations of the team, distributing the workload evenly and that motivation and performance levels are maintained; Communicates company goals, safety practices, and deadlines to the team. Motivates team members and assesses performance; In conjunction with management, answer team member questions, help with team member problems, and oversee team member work for quality and guideline compliance; Requirements: Completed Post-Secondary education in the field of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited technical school or equivalent experience Possess two (2) to five (5) years of experience working in the rail industry preferably as a Railway Supervisor; Previous Team Leadership or supervisory experience Transit product knowledge and industry experience is an asset Strong Oral and Written Communication Skills, Motivational Skills Ability to see opportunities to improve customer service Cadre is committed to providing equitable treatment and equal opportunity to all individuals.
